Today I want to give you 3 tips that you can implement straight away for you SEO. A lot of business owners get confused about how to carry out their SEO.

There’s 2 main components of SEO: on page and off page. Off page comprises of backlinks that point towards your website to give your website some more trust in Google’s algorithm.

I recommend that you outsource this part to an SEO professional because if you do it wrong, you could end up harming your website rankings.

One thing that you can do however that is within your control is on page SEO
.

–> So today I’m going to give you 3 tips on how to carry out on page SEO.

1. Tip Number 1 – Keyword In Title

Keep your main keyword in the title of your website. A lot of business owners miss out this key factor. If Google is unable to determine what your website is about it has to go deeper and read through the content on your website and your homepage in particular.

If your homepage has a variety of topics that you’re covering it makes it a little difficult for Google to figure out exactly what your website is all about. If Google is confused, it’s going to put you lower down than where you want to be in the rankings.

2. Tip Number 2 – Use H1 Tags

There are header tags which are part of html code which is the language that websites are composed of. You want to make sure that you have a relevant keyword in the h1 tag. If you’re not sure what this is, by all means get in touch with your web developer or simply ask your SEO professional.

Having your keyword in an h1 tag will help Google to recognise the keyword phrase that you’re trying to rank for to help your customers find you. An h1 tag isn’t a one off occurence, it can be found on every single page and post on your website.

3. Tip Number 3 – Make Your Site Easy To Navigate

I would recommend that you have easy navigation on your website. If it’s easy to navigate, Google will crawl your site more easily. This means linking to inner pages from your homepage and also linking back to your homepage from the inner pages themselves.
